Dodge County, Nebraska, created in 1855, was named in honor of U.S. Senator Augustus Caesar Dodge. Located in northeastern NE, Dodge County covers 535 square miles and according to Census 2000 data has a population of 36,160. Numerous cities and towns comprise Dodge County. The largest cities include North Bend and Fremont, the county seat.
